Jeweler's wife makes plea for justice

The day after a jewelry store homicide, the victim's wife made a plea for justice.

"I just need everybody's help to catch whoever did this to my husband. They killed a man and he is out. He was a good man," said Tina Lauseng.

The victim, who was known as "John the Jeweler" leaves behind his wife and 3 children.

And the victim's widow made a tearful plea to the community for help.

Her husband was shot and killed during an armed hold-up. Tina Lauseng flew back from Michigan where she and her 5 year old daughter were visiting relatives.

For the first time since the shooting Monday, she went into the jewelry store where her husband John was robbed at gunpoint. Authorities say he was shot in the back as he ran out of the store trying to get help.

"I have a 5 year old little girl that's keeping me strong. I just need everybody's help to catch whoever did this to my husband! They killed a man and he is out! He was a good man," she said.

Tina says her husband was planning to fly to Michigan Monday to be with her and other relatives.

Now that family vacation has ended in sorrow and heartache, and Tina is back in South Florida to deal with this tragedy.

Tina is relying on the comfort of close friends, who are trying to help her through this painful loss.

The search continues tonight for the two armed robbers and getaway driver.

One day after the store owner was killed, the West Palm Coin and Jewelry Exchange at Congress and Westgate avenue is back open for business.
