Children hospitalized after driver falls asleep at wheel

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Two children are in the hospital after a severe car crash Sunday morning.

West Palm Beach Police say the driver of a gray Honda was going southbound on Haverhill Road when he fell asleep and drove into oncoming traffic. The driver's car crashed into a gold Honda, injuring a man and two children. The children, ages 6 and 2, were both transported to St. Mary's Medical Center and suffer broken femers.

The two passengers in the other car were also brought in to St. Mary's but have since been released.

No charges have been filed. Police are waiting for toxicology results.
