RIVIERA BEACH, FL (WFLX) - After nearly a month of searching, gang member Marquis Roundtree has been apprehended.
Update, TUE 3:45 PM: Back in August, three inmates were accidentally released from the Palm Beach County Jail after a clerical error
Two were quickly appended; however, Marquis Roundtree has been on the run every since. He was taken into custody without incident Tuesday by police in Riviera Beach.
Previously: The two other inmates, James Roundtree and Tavaris Herndon, have already been apprehended by U.S. Marshals.
Back in April, the three alleged gang members were arrested along with five others in a 19 count indictment alleging racketeering, aggravated assault and conspiracy. Their bond was set at $1 million.
The mix up happened when, last week, the State Attorney's Office amended the men's original charges.
New paperwork was drawn up, and the $1 million bond was supposed to stay the same.
But someone forgot to put the bond on the documents, so the jail assumed it was ok to let them out with out bond.
