Fatal stabbing in Boynton Beach

BOYNTON BEACH, FL (WFLX) - A 29-year-old man was fatally stabbed outside an apartment on Mahogany Drive in Boynton Beach Sunday morning.

Boynton Beach Police have charged 29-year-old Greg Senser of Boynton Beach with second-degree murder of Jason Barnett.

According to detectives, Senser and Barnett were drinking at the sports bar 'First and 10' sports bar west of Boynton Beach around 1 a.m. Sunday.

They left the bar and went to the La Costa apartment complex off Gateway Boulevard.

Senser told detectives, he thought, they were going to visit the mother of Barnett's child.
Before they got inside the apartment, an argument ensued and Senser stabbed Barnett numerous times in the neck.

Around 1:59 a.m. Sunday, Boynton Beach police received a noise disturbance call in the apartment complex.

Officers arrived to see Barnett on the ground and Senser standing next to him. Senser took off running.

After a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody.

Barnett was transported to Delray Trauma Center where he was pronounced dead. Senser was taken to the Palm Beach County Jail.
