DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The driver of a day care van where a child was found dead is now behind bars.

Thirty-one-year-old Amanda Inman is being held at the Palm Beach County jail charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child.

Delray Beach Police say Inman turned herself in Monday afternoon after a warrant for her arrest was issued on Friday.

Police say Inman drove 2-year-old Haile Brockington to Katie's Kids Day Care Center in Delray Beach August 5.

Investigators claim the woman then forgot about Haile; even though, the girl was strapped into her car seat.

Haile was in the van for as long as six hours with temperatures ranging well over 100 degrees.

Since Haile's death, Katie's Kids has been under intense scrutiny. Last week, the Early Learning Coalition of Palm Beach County pulled more than half a million dollars in state funding.

But Haile's uncle, Darrell Bridgett,  says the family wants more justice.

"I think some more people should be arrested not just her, because it's not only her fault. I think the daycare center needs to be held liable also," he said.

The attorney for Katie's Kids owner Kathryn Muhammad was not available for comment.
