(WFLX) - For many Americans, the companies associated with cable television, air travel and financial services score low on customer service. This is according to a new report by the American Customer Service Index, a company that surveys more than 70,000 people a year.
Baggage fees and flight delays were common complaints with American Airlines, U.S. Airways and Delta.
When it comes to television services: Comcast, Time Warner Cable and Direct TV all received low scores for hidden fees and poor customer service.
Those polled also fired back at banks, including JP Morgan Chase, Citibank and Bank of America, for overdraft fees.
And despite being the most popular Web site in America and with 500 million users worldwide, the social networking site Facebook ranked below even airlines in customer satisfaction. The number one complaint of Facebook users -- privacy issues.
Facebook has said the issue of privacy is very important to them and have worked hard in the past year to improve it. The ACSI says this was the first year it measured customer satisfaction in social media sites.
