FHP trooper resigns after being arrested for illegal oxycodone possession

FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX)--- The Florida Highway Patrol trooper who was put on paid leave, then arrested for a misdemeanor possesion of drugs charge, resigned Wednesday.

Gary Bach was arrested and given a notice to appear in court by the Drug Enforcement Administration for allegedly possessing oxycodone illegally.

He sent in his letter of resignation in on Aug 24th and is no longer with the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the Martin County School District, Bach used to work at the high school for two years before he began his career as a trooper in 1998.
