DELRAY BEACH, FL --- Traffic Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in locating a motorcycle used in a hit and run crash that left a man with serious injuries and broken bones Wednesday.
Shortly before 1 a.m., witnesses reported observing a hit and run crash where a motorcycle struck 66-year-old Mack Hickson as he walked westbound on West Atlantic Avenue.
The witness reported seeing the victim step off the curb infront of the motorcycle, get struck, fly through the air and land in the middle of the intersection of West Atlantic Avenue and northwest 10 Avenue.
The witness stopped to offer aid to the victim as the motorcycle continued westbound, never stopping to assist the injured pedestrian.
The make and model of the motorcycle is unknown, but is believed to have sustained headlight and possibly front windshield damage.
Hickson is currently being treated for broken bones and lacerations at Delray Medical Center.
