Three-year-old boy drowns at Dubois Park

JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - A 3-year-old drowned in a lagoon at Dubois Park in Jupiter Saturday night.

According to reports, police responded to a complaint about Torrian Johan Merez Johnson after his father noticed he was missing in the park.

Through the assistance from multiple agencies, an intense search of the area was immediately conducted.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., the child was found floating in the lagoon within the southeastern portion of the park.

The child was rescued from the water where he was later pronounced deceased.

A preliminary investigation indicates the child died as a result of an accidental drowning.

The victim and his family recently relocated to Port Saint Lucie, Florida from Illinois.

No additional information is available concerning this case at this time.
