Palm Beach County bus driver protest

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Palm Beach County school bus drivers stage a "loud" protest after saying their gripes are falling on "deaf" ears with district administrators.  Drivers are upset about workplace conditions.

The bus driver protest is taking place outside of Palm Beach County School District headquarters.

About 50 bus drivers here in Palm Beach County are filing a formal complaint as we speak inside the district offices.

They're upset about a supervisor named Terrance Hightower.  He's in charge of the central compound where the busses leave every morning.

Some of the drivers say Hightower bullies them, and they're not standing for it anymore.

The school district issued this statement:

"The school district is aware and looking into this matter. We do not want our employees working in an unsafe or disrespectful environment."
