Tanker spills 6,000 gals of lime in PSL

PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - A tanker truck, carrying lime, has overturned and spilled 6,000 gallons of lime on the roadway in Port St. Lucie.

The spill occured at St. James Drive and Airoso Drive in Port St Lucie. The truck took out a light poll as it overturned late Wednesday morning.

The cleanup will take time and traffic will be affected in the area. No injuries were reported.

Lime is a white powder used in manufacturing, water treatment and as a soil amendment in gardening. It's also used to mark lines on sports fields.
