OH couple accused of rape and taping their twisted crimes

BAY VILLAGE, OH (WOIO) - A Bay Village couple indicted on a slew of charges after allegedly videotaping themselves raping a woman not just once, but over the course of a year.

Fourty-three-year-old David Salsgiver and 40-year-old Kelly Maltbie indicted on multiple counts of rape, kidnapping and gross sexual imposition by the Cuyahoga County Grand Jury.

The twisted couple videotaped themselves engaged in sexual activity with a substantially impaired or unconscious woman. The victim was later identified as a 42-year-old Cleveland woman.

Cops say Salsgiver made friends with the victim that's how she ended up Bay Village.

Police have the tape as evidence, and, they say, while the unconscious victim was being raped, it was all being captured on videotape.

The videotape evidence indicated the criminal activity took place in 2006 and 2007.  The investigation, which revealed at least one other female victim, continues.

Both Salsgiver and Maltbie face up to 300 years in prison if convicted.
