Top Florida races to watch: Governor & Senate

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - On Monday, both the candidates for governor and candidates for senate didn't spend anytime resting. (Precinct Finder & Polling Locations)

In the race for senate, frontrunner Marco Rubio (R) didn't let his lead in the polls stop him from criss-crossing the state one last time. He started Monday in Jacksonville before flying to Clearwater, Orlando and Hialeah.

Governor and Independent candidate Charlie Crist made West Palm Beach part of his last day. We caught up with him at Galaxy Aviation at Palm Beach International Airport. Crist says he's not worried about the polls saying his chances are good.

Democrat Kendrick Meek wrapped up a 24 hour non-stop campaign tour with a rally in Orlando Monday night.

Former President Bill Clinton joined Meek, who is trailing pretty far behind in the polls. Ahead of election night, Meek isn't stopping his campaign. He has several events Tuesday, including one in Delray Beach Tuesday afternoon.

Now, to the race for governor which is expected to be a close call.

Democrat Alex Sink also appeared at that rally with Bill Clinton in Orlando. She will vote in her home precinct Tuesday in rural Hillsborough County before awaiting election results.

Her opponent, Rick Scott spent Tuesday circling the state. That included a stop in West Palm Beach with fellow Republicans. They were pushing people to get out and vote. Scott now heads to his home precinct in Naples where he will vote Tuesday.

Stayed tuned to Fox 29 on-air and online for election results.
