WPB special needs teens found five days later in DC

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - They've been found safe, but how did police track down two young teens, both with special needs, a thousand miles away from home?

The two missing teens were found on a bus in Washington D.C. just after 9 p.m. Tuesday. They made the more than 15-hour trip after going missing five days ago.

Fourteen-year-old Cole Warmouth and classmate Ashley Caballero were last seen together leaving their special needs school in West Palm Beach. Police feared they were in danger because of the length they were missing and the fact that both have emotional problems.

Cole's mother particularly worried because her son has not been taking his anti-seizure medication. "Once he has a seizure, he doesn't remember where he has been and what he was doing," she said. "He doesn't know where he is at; he's totally zoned out and someplace else."

We still do not know when the two will be brought back to our area or what exactly what they've been doing for the past five days.
