WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - More than a thousand people, hoping to save their homes from foreclosure, lined up to get help Tuesday.
The federal government held a mortgage workshop at the Palm Beach County Convention Center. Loan services and counselors were on hand offering assistance through the Making Home Affordable program and other alternatives.
Homeowners brought along paperwork hoping a face-to-face meeting with lenders would work better than negotiating through phone and e-mails.
"If they can work with me, I don't want to lose my home," said one homeowner. Neither does anybody in this line here.
Another federal workshop is set for Thursday in Miami.
