Burglars drain Boca store of expensive liquor

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - Police say two men burglarized a Walgreens of expensive vodka and cognac Wednesday morning just as an employee arrived for work.

Police responded to the Walgreens liquor store at 21290 St. Andrews Blvd. at 6:30 AM, about 20 minutes after an employee of the Walgreens had arrived for work and witnessed two men leaving the store and getting into a small brown or tan 4-door vehicle backed into a parking spot directly in front of the door. The car left north through the parking lot.

The front door glass had been smashed out. Surveillance video shows the burglars spent about a minute in the store loading up recycling bins with bottles of liquor before leaving.

One suspect was wearing a light colored hoodie, the other suspect was wearing a dark colored hoodie. The manager told officers the suspects took approximately $2,500 worth of Grey Goose vodka and Hennesy and Remy Martin cognac.

If anyone has information about this crime, they are asked to call Detective Rich Sarria at (561) 620-6130 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at (800) 458-TIPS.
