Pastor: Facebook is breaking up marriages, families

NEW JERSEY, (WFLX) - A New Jersey pastor is issuing a new commandment against a popular social networking site.

The Reverend Cedric Miller is asking members of his congregation to stop using Facebook. He says the social networking Web site is breaking up marriages and tearing families apart. He even goes as far as saying married church officers who refuse to deactivate their accounts will be asked to resign.

At least one church member is supporting the reverend's message. "Facebook got a little ugly in my life, and there are friends that I didn't know that were there, and they knew I was married and since then, I deleted my Facebook page. My wife and I set up a family page."

The married Reverend Miller admits he too used to have a Facebook page of his own. He says he is now de-activated from the site -- determined to lead by example.
