WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - At age 22, most are fresh out of college and ready to take on the career world. But for Julianne Hough, she's already immersed in hers.
Thursday night, she performed a free concert in CityPlace. "I'm really enjoying everything I'm doing. I got a new record coming out next year. It's been a longtime coming. And I've kind of been out of the loop of the whole music world."
Probably because she's been busy starring alongside Cher and Christina Aguilera in the movie "Burlesque".
Hough said she enjoyed working with them both. "They're both huge icons – especially Cher. She's a legend. Everything they do, you're watching and going what can I take from you? They're very on it."
It was an ideal training ground for Hough as she takes on the lead female role in the remake of "Footloose". "Not to be bias or anything, but I love it. Everything that I've seen so far, it's really wonderful," she said. "The director is so great, and if you like the original, you won't be disappointed. It's very true to the original."
Now considered a triple threat, I asked what was the hardest one for her -- dancing, acting or singing. "I think different projects, you know. For instance, 'Burlesque' was really challenging because of the dancing. We were dancing for 17 hours on the set every day. And 'Footloose' was all about the acting, and really deep emotional scenes. I really had to focus on that. And, of course, the music -- the entertainment world is so hard."
Still, with all her projects, she still has time for her boyfriend, Ryan Seacrest. She didn't share too many secrets with me, but did admit she enjoyed their Thanksgiving trip to Paris.
Rumors are circulating about Hough returning to 'Dancing with the Stars'. "I love the show, and I know I wouldn't be here without it. And, you never know, I might go back."
Right after the concert, Hough hoped into a car and was off to Orlando with her traveling companion, her dog Lexie, to perform another show before heading to LA for the holidays.
