I'm Dr. David Vastola and Patrick's got a hot date tonight and guess what? He's got a zit and he's under a lot of pressure with it. He's been eating chocolate again, but guess what? We know that chocolate doesn't cause acne. So how can we deal with it? We need to look at the pathophysiology of acne. It is made up of three things: desclymated skin, the oil in your skin and finally the bacteria that get into the mixture of them. So what can you do about it? Let me tell you.
The first thing you need to do is take an ice cube and rub it over the acne site. This shrinks the tissue and opens up the pore. The next thing you need to do is take benzoil peroxide which has been refrigerated and rub it over the area. Finally, take a cold pack and apply it over the area for about 10 minutes. If you do that the pore will open, the benzoil peroxide will get into the pore and kill the bacteria and the acne will go away.
