March Against Violence

FORT PIERCE, FL (WFLX) Fort Pierce residents came together Saturday to show their community that when it comes to violence "enough is enough."

Taking a stand against violence, crowds gathered and marched at Pioneer Park for the "Enough is Enough March".

It's all part of a community initiative to raise violence awareness after four young people were gunned down last year in the northwest section of Fort Pierce.

"We're here to make a difference and this is the beginning and ending we're gonna be consistent and we gonna take out this violence just as rampant as it came in right here," said Reggie Sessions.

Residents passed through the area where three of the shootings took place as well as other well known areas of drug operations.

The group walked about 1.5 miles Saturday and hope to continue this march in the future.
