Martin County teen missing

MARTIN COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - The Martin County Sheriff's Office is searching for a missing 16-year-old girl.

Karina Guitierrez-Reyes was last seen Monday afternoon in Southern Martin County at the Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center located in Tequesta. She was last seen by the staff at Sandy Pines at approximately 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Officials believe Guitierrez-Reyes left on-foot a short time thereafter. A park ranger and two independent witnesses provided deputies with information that she was seen on-foot leaving Jonathan Dickinson State Park headed Southbound on Federal Highway at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Karina Guitierrez-Reyes is 5'6, 140 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. Her date of birth is 09/30/94. She was last seen wearing blue jeans, red t-shirt, black hooded-style sweatshirt, and white sneakers. She is from Guatemala, speaks very little English, and is not known to have friends or family in this area.
