Family waiting to hear identity of kids

DELRAY BEACH, FL (WFLX) - One family is still awaiting word on whether the two children found dead in a canal belong to them.

Police have not confirmed their identity, but one Delray family strongly believes they are relatives to the two kids.

The family says the children and their mother have not been heard from in the last few days.

They say the suspect who is now being questioned by Delray Beach police was in a relationship with the children's mother.

Although police have not confirmed the identity of the two children, they are certain the two are related.

Outside the home, family members have waited and say the suspect, Clem Beauchamp, was in a relationship with the children's mother.

Clem Beauchamp is no stranger to the law. Public records show he has several minor criminal offenses for violating a court order on the custody of his own biological children and domestic violence.

The woman who believes the children found are her niece and nephew say neighbors saw Clem behaving strangely over last few days, and no one had seen him until recently.

So far, police have not been able to locate the children's mother.
