"Pride Fest" crowds Lake Worth streets

LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - A parade of bright colors kicked off the Palm Beaches "Pride Fest" Sunday.

Crowds lined the streets of Lucerne Avenue showing off their gay pride in Lake Worth.

The festival featured special appearances by the gay polo equestrian league among others.

But, for many, the festival was about more than just having fun. For them, it also held an important message. "Go with the flow mainly, life is too short to have any hatred in your heart, at all you can be here today and gone tomorrow," said volunteer Debra Hammett.

The parade's grand marshal was State Senator Dave Aronberg.
