BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - Exercise is the best way to improve your overall physical health, but the effects can be fair greater than what the eye can see.

When times got tough, Ruth Zuckerman found her haven in a very unlikely place. "Suddenly, I started doing this indoor cycling, and I could see this become a 45 minute sanctuary for myself where I could mediate, but, at the same time, I'm building strength," said Zuckerman.

But she didn't keep this form of therapy to herself. Instead, she opened Flywheel Sports in New York City, an indoor cycle studio. Six locations now dot the "Big Apple". In fact, Katie Couric, Jimmy Fallon and Ivanka Trump all workout there.

"Within 45 minutes, we've had the ability to transform their mood, to make them feel better about themselves, to make them feel stronger, to make them feel they can go out there 45 minutes later, and conquer some of those challenges they are facing."

The latest venture of Zuckerman is opening a Flywheel studio in Boca Raton.

Her partner, Angela Lutin, who will run the Boca location, compares different stages of the ride to life. "When where telling you to push through those sprints, you can just let it out. So whatever your day was like, you can just come into the cycle room and just get it all out of your system."

Moreover, Lutin says "cycle" therapy burns 600 to 700 calories a session and is easy on the joints unlike running.

Flywheel Sports in Boca Raton opens Friday, April 1, and is located at 2200 Glades Rd. Boca Raton, Florida 33431.
