Meet our Pet of the Week Munchkin. She's a 2-year-old brown and white pit bull mix who's up for adoption at the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Munchkin is quite small -- only 28 pounds. She has such big deep eyes and such a sweet disposition. All she needs is love and confidence and she'll be all the dog you'll ever need to love.

Munchkin is recovering from heartworms and is almost done with her treatment. She is available as a medical release and can finish treatment with Peggy Adams at no cost or can be taken to your private vet.

Munchkin is up for adoption at the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League. If you adopt her, her initial exam is free complements of our Pet Connections Sponsors:

Kelly's Animal Hospital  in Port St. Lucie, Animal Wellness in West Palm Beach and Ft. Lauderdale, and Lantana-Atlantis Animal Hospital in Lantana.

About Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League

The vision of the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is to create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation.

Our mission is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals, to provide spay & neuter and other medical services for companion animals and to care for, protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected companion animals, to advocate animal welfare, community involvement and education to further the bond between people and animals.

Peggy Adams is a facility committed to finding adoptable loving homes for all animals that enter through our doors.

Once an animal comes into our facility, we are committed to providing all of the medical and behavioral tools necessary for the animal to be rehabilitated and placed into a permanent loving home.

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League does not receive funding from city, county, state, or the federal government, or local organizations with similar names. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals, foundations and corporations to accomplish our mission.
