PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL (WFLX) - A 45-year-old pain clinic doctor was arrested Thursday night after authorities say he prescribed a man Percocet pills to get him to leave a hotel room so he could have sex with two women.

Scott Baren Oster, of Palm Beach Gardens, was charged with two counts of drug trafficking and is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

An investigation in to Scott began in January as part of a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office Multi-Agency Diversion Task Force operation called, "Operation Illicit Exchange".

On Thursday, Scott planned to meet at the Sea Spray Beach Resort on Ocean Avenue with a confidential informant and two undercover agents, a sheriff's office report says.

Oster knew the undercover agents as women he planned on having sex with in the hotel room and the confidential informant as a man he was going to prescribe Percocet pills to in exchange for giving him some privacy, the report says.

Once in the hotel room, Oster took two blank prescription forms out of his pocket and prescribed 150 pills on one form and 90 pills on another, the report says.

Oster was then arrested and taken to the sheriff's office for questioning. He admitted his plans for sex with the women and admitted he had never seen the people as patients.

His explanation was, "I let my little head think for my big head," the report says.

Scott was employed at the Complete Pain Care Clinic in West Palm Beach and was planning on opening his own practice, the county State Attorney's office said in a release Friday afternoon.

If found guilty, he faces at least 25 years in prison.
