Police looking for operator in Jupiter boating crash

JUPITER, FL (WFLX) - Police are on the lookout for a Jupiter man believed to be behind the wheel during a very serious boating accident Saturday night.

A passenger sustained head injuries when the boat crashed into a navigational marker along the intracoastal in Jupiter.

Twenty-one-year-old Timothy Doran, Jr. could face charges in the incident. He was believed to be behind the wheel at the time of the crash, and fled the scene immediately after. Dolan is not the owner of the boat.

The boat, a 23-foot vessel that collided head-on with an illuminated channel marker in the intracoastal. The impact of that collision ejected one of the boats six occupants.

Twenty-six-year-old Kai Woodstock from Jupiter has been identified as the victim. He remains hospitalized with critical injuries.

The boat was heading northbound in the intracoastal when it was heavily damaged and had to be towed away. Investigators said alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.

Some of occupants were on scene when help arrived.

Dolan is not the owner of the boat.
