Stronger chlorine added to PBC tap water

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - Many residents of Palm Beach County might notice their drinking water has a taste and smell of chlorine.

The county's water utilities department will be using a stronger chlorine to disinfect the water for a month starting June 14.

The county says, while most customers will notice only a slight change, it recommends users of home dialysis machines, owners of tropical fish and restaurants with fish tanks to get professional advice.

For more information on this change in the water treatment process, please call the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department at (561) 740-4600, option #3.
