Florida couple forecloses on bank

COLLIER COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - A Florida couple turns the tables on the banks following a foreclosure mix up.

Warren and Maureen Nyerges purchased their Golden Gate Estates home two years ago from Bank of America.

A year later, they were served with a foreclosure notice when they didn't even have a mortgage. Their home was completely paid for.

From then on, the couple spent weeks on the phone and in court to get the case dismissed.

It was and the lending giant agreed to pay the couple a little over $2,000 for their troubles, but they never paid up!

So with the court's permission, the couple went to a Davis Boulevard branch Friday to foreclose on the bank; bringing trucks and deputies to seize the branch's assets.

After about an hour later, the bank finally cut a check to satisfy the debt, and no furniture was taken.

The couple was reportedly paid close to $6,000.
