MIAMI (AP) - The Texas Rangers roughed up Miami starter Nathan Eovaldi early on the way to a 5-4 win over the Marlins on this afternoon. Nick Martinez allowed two runs over six innings in his homecoming, and Alex Rios drove in two runs. Leonys Martin had three hits for Texas, which grabbed a 5-0 lead after two innings.

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (AP) - The Tampa Bay Rays have activated outfielder Wil Myers from the 60-day disabled list after he missed 70 games with a broken right wrist. The Rays made the announcement before tonight's game against Detroit.

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) - Howard Schnellenberger's name is being added to the Florida Atlantic stadium that he fought to have built. The university says the field at FAU Stadium will be renamed Howard Schnellenberger Field. University trustees approved the move today. Schnellenberger was the Owls' first coach.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The Southeastern Conference says all 14 members have taken steps to improve the fan experience at league football stadiums. A study showed that the areas of most concern to fans are availability of concessions and restroom conditions. The changes include showing in-game highlights on stadium video boards.
