Questions remain as Anthony prosecutors rest case

ORLANDO, FL (WFLX) - The prosecution has wrapped up its case in the Florida murder trial of Casey Anthony, who is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter nearly three years ago.

Some experts who are watching the case say that there were both highs and lows in the state's presentation which rested Wednesday. The prosecutors' case was heavy on Anthony's repeated lies during the time her child was missing, but light on concrete forensic evidence linking her to the skeletal remains of her toddler.

They say prosecutors' saving grace may be the wide-ranging claims made by the defense that it now must deliver on as it begins its case on Thursday.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter Caylee. She faces the death penalty if convicted and has pleaded not guilty.
