Anthony trial recesses after attorneys' dispute

ORLANDO, FL (AP) - The murder trial for Casey Anthony has ended for the day after the judge scolded prosecutors and defense attorneys and said he was tired of their infighting.

The judge called a halt to the proceedings Monday morning on the 23rd day of the trial. As he admonished prosecutors for their disagreements over witnesses, the jurors waited in another room. They never got a chance to enter the courtroom.

Judge Belvin Perry said the trial would be in recess until Tuesday.

Anthony is accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter in 2008. She has pleaded not guilty. The defense says the girl drowned in her grandparents' swimming pool.

Prosecutors say she was suffocated by duct tape being placed over her nose and mouth.

If convicted, Anthony could get the death penalty.
