PBSO staying in Lake Worth

LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - The Lake Worth City Commission is expected to give final approval on a contract that would keep a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office substation in the city.

Some people in Lake Worth wanted to get rid of PBSO and bring back their own agency to stay within their budget.

Both sides reached an agreement earlier this month.

The contract with the Sheriff's Office is for the next two years, and will cost the city $12 million per year.

The meeting is at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lake Worth city offices.
