PBC school teachers facing chopping block


WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - School board members in Palm Beach County have a full plate Wednesday night. They're deciding whether to fire a handful of employees for five separate incidents.

You may remember some of these incidents.

Priscilla Maloney is on the chopping block. She's the former principal at Plumosa Elementary School in Delray Beach accused of stealing $14,000 worth of furniture from the school system. She also allegedly stole a saxophone, a projector and a laptop.

Fifty-four-year-old Juan Rivera-Ortiz was a custodian at a West Palm Beach Middle School when the district says he was found naked in a school storage room.

Twenty-nine-year-old Susan Keppers is a reading teacher at Palm Beach Central High School. The school district says she had a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student.

A bus driver is accused of using his cell phone while driving a school bus.

Lastly, a mechanic accused of sexual harassment.
