Playstation 2 game requires players for Navy SEAL missions

AP -- You can become a Navy SEAL no matter what shape you're in -- with a new Sony Playstation Two game.

Sony is going to release "SOCOM (SOH'-kom) TWO: U-S NAVY SEALs" on November fourth.

The game requires players to complete various Navy SEAL missions. Players can interact with competitors online or offline through a network adapter.

Sony spokesman Ryan Bowling says there's a good deal of strategy involved in SOCOM TWO. Bowling says players will have to remove bombs, rescue hostages and navigate tough terrain.

He says the makers of the game consulted with Navy officials to create "an almost true to life Navy Seal simulation."

A warning for parents, though, this game is mature rated. That means it's only for players 18 and up.

It sells for just under fifty dollars.
