MONROEVILLE, PA (WFLX) - Plenty of things are banned from resturants: shirtless bodies, bare feet, pets.
But one Pennsylvania eatery is facing outrage from parents for banning young children.
McDain's is known mostly for its golf driving range, but it has been serving dinner for the past nine years.
Starting next weekend, McDain's will stop serving children under the age 6. Their owner says the new rule has to do with noise issues; however, some long-time customers feel the policy is unfair.
"Nothing wrong with babies, but the fact is you can't control their volume," said owner Mike Vuick. "And there may be restaurants that prefer to cater to such things, not here. I think it's the height of being impolite and selfish and so, therefore, I instituted a policy."
Vuick believes most of his patrons will support his decision, and that the controversial decision will actually bring in more business.
