Nine shot at house party

APOPKA, FL (WFLX) - A shooting at a party in Orange County, Florida has landed nine people in the hospital. A suspect is under arrest.

"I started crying. I was screaming and everything. I had a panic attack," described 18-year-old Charmaine Corporan.

Bullet-holes now line the walls inside of the home, along Piedmont Wekiva Road in Apopka, where Corporan lives.

She says it was her house party were it all went down.

Investigators say 17-year-old Johnny Barnes pulled out a gun and started shooting. "He jumped this wall, came through the back and started shooting"

She says Barnes emptied his clip and was shooting downwards -- not directly at the dozens of teens at the party.

Nine teens total were shot. "I was just gathering people in the room. We were trying to get people in the room, and as I was talking, you just heard the gunshots," she said.

Investigators say after the shootout, Barnes left in an SUV. They later caught up with him at a nearby gas station. He is facing second degree attempted murder charges.

Corporan doesn't know for sure why Barnes showed up to her party. "Probably someone here he didn't like."
