Two rabid animals found

ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FL (WFLX) - Two rabid animal attacks have been reported in South Florida.

The first attack was in Royal Palm Beach when a racoon attacked a dog. On Tuesday, the dog's owner tested positive for rabies. The 4-year-old dog was current with its rabies shots.

However the dog's owner was scratched while trying to break up the fight.

In St. Lucie County, a feral cat, found in the 3100 block of South U.S. 1, tested positive for rabies. Three people, who were exposed to the cat, are now undergoing treatment.
