Man pulled from water after apparent jet ski crash

MIAMI (AP) Authorities are investigating what appears to be a fatal jet ski crash in a South Florida waterway.

According to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, a man reported his friend, 24-year-old Javier Lopez, missing Sunday night. The two had been riding jet skis earlier that day in Biscayne Bay, which separates Miami from Miami Beach.

Miami Fire Rescue pulled out Lopez's body from the water Monday morning. A jet ski was found nearby.

FWC says investigators suspect some kind of collision took place, but details weren't clear.
