PORT ST. LUCIE, FL (WFLX) - Stores that buy gold in Port St. Lucie may have to wait a few weeks to sell it again.
A new ordinance could soon be in affect that will help police get clues into local robberies.
Our news partners at TC Palm report the city council gave unanimous premilinary approval to the ordinance Monday night.
It states second hand dealers of jewelry and other goods must hold onto the items for 30 days before selling them.
Right now, the holding period is just 15 days.
