WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - Jellyfish seem to be hitting the beach in near record numbers, but it's not stopping people from enjoying our beautiful beaches.
Jellyfish can be seen along the beaches ready to give swimmers an unpleasant sting.
Lifeguards say people are curious about the sea creatures, walking up to them to get an up close and personal look. "We just let them know with the flag and write about it on the boards. We have spray if they get hit. It's not that bad. Just more annyoing and painful than anything else," said one lifeguard. "It's not too serious."
Experts say swimmers should looks for the flags on the beach to make sure if swimming is safe.
