Shooting near Suncoast High School

RIVIERA BEACH, FL (WFLX) Riviera Beach arrested three people after shots were fired not far from Suncoast Community High School Tuesday afternoon shortly before 4 p.m.

Police say they received several calls with reports of shots being fired in the area of 1300 Jake Lane in Riviera Beach. Callers described four black males who were seen leaving the area after the shots were fired.

Officers observed a group matching the description, and when police began to question the group, one male ran from the scene. According to police, the male was seen throwing a gun to the ground.

Police say the group of four males had approached a vehicle that was stopped at the traffic signal at Jake Lane and West 13th Street, and one of the males fired shots at the vehicle.

No one was injured.

Three of the four males were arrested.

Officials believe the shooting may have been related to an argument that began at Dwyer High School.
