Lake Worth stimulus money not reported

LAKE WORTH, FL (WFLX) - It's a list no state, city or town wants to be on. It's one that shows you're not reporting how federal stimulus dollars were spent in your community.

The City of Lake Worth made the non-compliance list run by the Web site

That Web site is run by the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, the federal government's appointed board to oversee stimulus spending.

The list detailed that a report wasn't handed in for a stimulus grant totalling $248,000.

The city of Lake Worth was required to submit a report on how the grant was spent for the time period of April through July of this year.

According to Mayor Rachel Waterman, the stimulus grant is paying for two code enforcement officer salaries through 2013.

Waterman says the city is working to correct the report which, she believes, is an administrative error.
