Ponzi schemer's items head for auctioning block

BOCA RATON, FL (WFLX) - What does a crook who is worth $1.2 billion keep in his four houses?

Custom-made suits, cigars, sports memorabilia, furniture, art, wide-screen TVs and much more.

Fisher Auction Co. will be auctioning off property once owned by Ponzi-schemer and former lawyer Scott Rothstein.

For the first time, the personal items of Rothstein's wife, Kim, will be offered, as well. The auctioneers will showcase her designer handbags and shoes.

The latest in a series of auctions of Rothstein's personal belongings is being held on orders from the US Bankruptcy Court.

An online auction will be held at http://www.fisherauction.com/ between October 6 - 13.

A live auction will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15 at the Embassy Suites in Boca Raton at 661 NW 53rd Street.

Rothstein is serving a fifty-year sentence for running a Ponzi-scheme that was busted in November of 2009.
