Woman ejected from vehicle on FL Turnpike

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - The northbound and southbound inside lanes of Florida's Turnpike between Forest Hill and Southern Boulevards are blocked after a woman was ejected from her vehicle Monday morning according to Captain Don Delucia, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue's Public Information Officer.

The 35-year-old was headed north on the Turnpike when her SUV rolled over and she was ejected from her vehicle.

Florida Highway Patrol said a 911 call came in at 9:17 a.m. Monday. Officials added the woman may have been hit by another car after she was ejected but could not immediately confirm that.

FHP said wet roads may have contributed to the accident, and it is unclear if she was wearing a seat belt.

The Trauma Hawk was unable to fly due to the weather, so she was transported by ground.

Traffic is backed up to Lake Worth Road and is moving very slowly.
