Leviticus Taylor arrested, Rondell Reed at large

VERO BEACH, FL (WFLX) - After a day-long search, Indian River County Sheriff's Office has confirmed the arrested of 25-year-old Leviticus Taylor, who escaped from the Indian River County Jail early Monday morning.

According to the Martin County Sheriff's Office, Taylor was arrested at approximately 7:05 p.m. Monday night. Criminal Investigations Division Sergeant Michael Dougherty and Detective Jacob Sirmans found Taylor walking along Federal Highway in Stuart, near the Windemere subdivision, when they took him into custody. He has since been turned over to the custody of the U.S. Marshal Service.

The second escapee, Rondell Reed, 52, formerly of Indiana, is still at large. Both Reed and Taylor were maximum-security prisoners being held on murder charges. They were discovered missing around 5 o'clock Monday morning.

"We're working a tremendous amount of leads to follow up on Rondell Reed," said Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar on Monday night. "We will find Rondell Reed."

Reed has gray hair, is 5' 11', and weighs 180 pounds. Although a photo distributed of him shows him with a beard, the sheriff says he is currently clean shaven. An updated photo of him has not been released.

Two women and one man were also arrested Monday night as accomplices to the escape plot.
