Ten facts about escaped IRC inmates

Here are 10 confirmed facts about the escape of two maximum security inmates from the Indian River County Jail early Monday morning:

1) There was another jail break at the Indian River County Jail in 2005. Three inmates escaped, but all were eventually captured.

2) There is unreleased video of Leviticus Taylor and Rondell Reed escaping.

3) The two were cell mates.

4) Reed has a history of shooting at law enforcement, according to a press release from the Sheriff's Office.

5) Reed escaped 20 years ago from a prison in North Carolina, which lead to a shootout with law enforcement officers.

6) Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said, "It was a very elaborate scheme. We also know it was very detailed in the way they departed the premises." Loar said this was something planned far in advance.

7) Nearby schools are on code yellow, which is one step below a full lockdown.

8) Taylor no longer has dreadlocks. Reed currently has gray hair and no neck brace.

9) This has turned into a significant search with assistance from U.S. Marshals, nearby counties and police departments.

10) The Indian River County Jail was put on lockdown.
