Study links heavy drinking to lung cancer

(WFLX) - Researchers say heavy drinking can be just as dangerous to your lungs as smoking.

Researchers at Kaiser Permanente studied data from over 126,000 people. They found those who drank more than three alcoholic drinks a day had an increased risk of lung cancer.

The highest risk was among heavy beer drinkers as opposed to those who drank primarily wine or liquor.

Smoking is still the biggest factor risk for lung cancer.
