Escaped Inmate's Facebook Post

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FL (WFLX)  Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar said in a news conference Monday evening that social media has played a pivotal role in the hunt for Rondell Reed and Leviticus Taylor -- the two inmates who escaped from the Indian River County Jail Monday morning.

"One of the inmates - his social group is more into social media than the other," said Indian River County Sheriff Deryl Loar.

It turns out, Leviticus Taylor's family and friends have been lighting up Facebook for weeks.

Craig Moore is Taylor's cousin, but instead of his own profile picture, he used Taylor's mugshot. Moore was later questioned by officials about Taylor's escape.

Tia Dawkins, Moore's mother and the aunt who raised Taylor, wrote: "Hey fb. IRCSD arrested my boys for nothing. Let's march ya'll."

But the streams of communication actually started weeks ago.

A Facebook post from Leviticus Taylor's page one day after he was convicted of first-degree murder said: "It is what it is, but I'm not done yet. I have god and family on my side."
