Should firefighter convicted of DUI be reinstated?

WEST PALM BEACH, FL (WFLX) - West Palm Beach city leaders must decide Monday if they will reinstate a firefighter just acquitted of a DUI conviction.

Former Captain Rick Curtis was originally fired last May following his conviction. Then in June, his attorney requested a retrial based on allegations the presiding judge in the case had an intimate relationship with another firefighter who Curtis didn't get along with.

Curtis went on to win that retrial, but the city would not reinstate him.

If they don't reinstate him Monday, his lawyer says he will seek action against the city.
